Agaya Gangai is a waterfall located in Kolli Hills of the Eastern Ghats, in Namakkal district, Tamil Nadu, India. It falls from a height of 300 feet (91 m) and is formed by the Aiyaru river.

Agaya Gangai is also known as Peraruvi and can be reached by climbing down 396 steps. The caves of sages Bogar, Agastyar, Korakkar and Kalangi Nathar are located near the waterfalls inside the forest. Agaya Gangai dwarf gecko is a species of diurnal, rock-dwelling, insectivorous gecko endemic to the region.

Abbey Falls (also spelled Abbi Falls and Abbe Falls) is a waterfall in Kodagu, in the Western Ghats of Karnataka, India. It is located 8 km from the Madikeri, 122 km from Mysore, 144 km from Mangalore and 268 km from Bangalore.

The waterfall is on the early reaches of the river Kaveri, located between private coffee plantations with stocky coffee bushes and spice estates and trees entwined with pepper vines. There is a hanging bridge constructed just opposite the falls. Flow is much higher during the monsoon season.

The falls was earlier called Jessi Falls, named after a British officer's wife. However, the place was a thick jungle back then. Years later, the waterfall was discovered by Mr. Neravanda B. Nanaiah who bought the place from the government and converted it into a coffee and spice plantation, which still surrounds the waterfall today.

Badaghagara is located at a distance of 9 km from the district headquarters (Kendujhar) of Kendujhar district. Being a perennial source of water, a dam has constructed on the downstream side. It is situated at a distance of 3 kilometers on the downstream of Sanaghagara Waterfall.

It is a perennial waterfall. The Machha Kandana, a small river, plunges from a height of 60 metres (200 ft) in a single drop.

The Barkana Falls, a hidden gem in Western Ghats, formed by Seetha River, dropping from a height of 260 meters, is a waterfall located near Agumbe in Shimoga district of state of Karnataka, India and the water falls is among the ten highest waterfalls in India. The cascading effect, milky colour and evergreen forests of Western Ghats make the Falls a memorable experience. This water fall region is filled with water only during rainy season.

Barkana Falls is located at a distance of 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) from Agumbe and has a height of about 500 feet and the area is surrounded by a thick forest of Western Ghats.

Barkana viewpoint offers a mesmerizing sight of Barkana valley in Western Ghats. Lots of interesting flora and select fauna such as frogs, snakes and insects may also be found while hiking towards Barkana Falls.

The Falls is 353 kms from Bengaluru and 100 kms from district HQ Shivamogga. Mangaluru is the nearest airport (100 kms away). Udupi is the nearest railway station (53 kms). Buses are available till Agumbe. The Falls is about 7 kms from Agumbe. While a few buses/auto/own vehicles can help you cover part of this distance, the last few kms need to be covered on foot.

Agumbe has basic accommodation options and few home-stays. Seethanadi nature camp operated by Jungle lodges & resorts is 22 kms away. More stay options are available in Thirthahalli (40 kms) and Hebri (26 kms).

Nearby: Kundadri Hills (24 kms), Sringeri (36 kms), Sirimane Falls (48 kms), Someshwara Wildlife Sanctuary (27 kms), Kavaledurga (45 kms) and Varanga lake Basadi (32 kms) are some places worth visiting along with Barkana Falls.

Barkana Falls is best visited between September and December/January. During the rainy season the path is slippery, filled with leeches and hence dangerous to enter. As summer approaches Barkana falls may run dry and lose its glory.

Adyanpara Waterfall, cascading waterfall, is located in the Kurmbalangodu village in Nilambur in Malappuram district of Kerala, India. It is 14 kilometres (8.7 mi) from Nilambur town, and attracts tourists from various parts of Kerala. This is a seasonal waterfall. During Summer, water flow is low. This waterfall is of a natural cascading style as the waterfall descends over the rock. Adyanpara Weir is situated near to this falls.

It is among the most relaxing spots in the area. Adyanpara is an excellent spot for a nice swim and is easily accessible by road. The water itself is clean and pure and has had medicinal properties attributed to it. It is among the most picturesque destinations in the area.

Aruvikuzhy Waterfalls (not to be confused with Aruvikkuzhy Falls in Pathanamthitta, Kerala) is a waterfall in Kottayam district in the Kerala state of India. It is situated 2 km (1.2 mi) from Pallickathode and 7.5 km (4.7 mi) from Pampady. The waterfall measures about 30 ft in height and active only during monsoon. In summer the river almost dries up.

The Bahuti Falls is in Rewa district in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. It is the highest waterfall in Madhya Pradesh. It is on the river Nihai (also called as Odda) as it rushes down the edge of the Valley of Mauganj to join the Bihad River, which is a tributary of Tamas or Tons River.It has a height of 145 metres (476 ft).Some say it is on the river Sellar.

The Bahuti Falls is an example of a nick point caused by rejuvenation. Knick point, also called a nick point or simply nick, represents breaks in slopes in the longitudinal profile of a river caused by rejuvenation. The break in channel gradient allows water to fall vertically giving rise to a waterfall.

Rewa has a somewhat Table landform. Bahuti Prapat lies on its North-eastern edge. Fauna species of Hyena, Nilgai, Jackal, Bengal Monster Lizard, Indian Roller Bird, Indian Grey Hornbill, Oriental Magpie Robin etc can be seen here.

The Rewa region is elevated as compared to nearby districts. To reach Rewa, several ghats are to be encountered - Chhuhiya Ghat (South-east), Dramondganj Ghat (North-east), Sohagi-Chak Ghat (North) and Semariya Ghat (West) and Patpara Ghat (East). The terrain is rocky, with large proportions of Red and Laterite Soil (Murum).

Barehipani Falls is on Budhabalanga river and is a two tiered waterfall located in Simlipal National Park [which is famous for housing animals like Bengal and White Tiger] in Mayurbhanj district in the Indian state of Odisha. It is one of the highest waterfalls in India. Simlipal National Park is a large park spread over more than 845 sq kilometers and is home to the Royal Bengal tiger, wild elephants, gaurs (Indian Bison) and chausingha.

The waterfall is situated on the Budhabalanga River flowing over Meghasuni mountain of the Eastern Ghats. The nearest railway station is at Baripada. The Joranda Falls is located nearby. It is 120 km from the town of Jashipur. The best time to visit this spot is between the months of October to June.

The Barehipani Falls has a total height of 217 metres (712 ft) to 399 metres (1,309 ft) according to different estimates. It is a tiered waterfall with two drops. it is the second highest [to Kunchikal falls] water fall in India, and the highest water fall in Odisha. The tallest single drop is 259 metres (850 ft).
