செவ்வாய் தோசம் உள்ள ஒருவர் தோசம் இல்லாத ஒருவரை திருமணம் புரிய முடியாதா?
மருத்துவ ரீதியான காரணம் உண்டா?

Rh factor என்று ஒன்று உள்ளது... அதில் 6 வகை உண்டு... +ve factor உள்ளவர்கள் தான் இந்த தோஷம் உள்ளவர்களாக கருதப்படுகிறார்கள்... ரத்த பரிசோதனை செய்தால் இதை அறிந்துகொள்ளலாம்.... இதில் மருத்துவ பின்னணியும் உண்டு.... Google யில் தேடி பாருங்கள்....

Medicine: Rh in Marriage

A new factor has been added to the marital equation. It is the Rh factor in human blood, discovered in 1940 and so named because famed Blood Analysts Karl Landsteiner and Alexander Solomon Wiener used rhesus monkeys in their early experiments. Exactly what the factor is, doctors still do not know, but they have devised tests to determine who is Rh-positive and who is Rh-negative, and have found that the Rh factor sometimes complicates blood transfusion. Last week Dr. Enrique Eduardo Ecker of Cleveland's Western Reserve University advocated premarital tests for the factor. Reason: an Rh-negative woman married to an Rh-positive man may never have children.

When such a woman conceives an Rh-positive child, there is a 1-in-30 chance that the child's blood may create a dangerous reaction in the mother's blood —with the result that the child, if it lives to be born, will have a dangerous disease called erythroblastosis fetalis, character ized by anemia and jaundice.

About 15% of U.S. men & women are Rh-negative and about 10% of marriages are in the danger zone. Some 5,000 babies with erythroblastosis fetalis are born alive each year, and 5,000 more are born dead.

The particular case is Girl having RH-ve & Boy is having RH+ve Blood Group factor.
(A, B, AB, O doesn't matter here)

In such a case, if the to be born child has a blood group factor of RH+ve (probability 50%), there is a strong chance of mixing mother's and child's blood during pregnancy. If it happens, Mother's immune system re-acts & starts development of antibodies against RH factor. Since at this time count of such anti-bodies is low, first child do not have much of a risk.

At the time of second delivery, if again the second child has RH+ve factor(probability 50%[cumulative probability 25%]), Mothers antibodies which were created during first delivery now could have grown to a significant volume and can attack infant's system and can cause anemic conditions including infant death.

To avoid this, It is the duty of gynacologist to check the blood groups of mother & child at the time of delivery and give the treatment of RHOGAM in order to supress generation of RH antibodies.

Since RH-ve is a rare Blood Group, and there is only 25% chance for the mishap, the risk is low.

Nevertheless, we can check for boy's & girl's RH factor. If it is known that we have the particular combination, we just need to ensure the RHOGAM treatment at the time of first delivery.

There should not be any problem with both Boy & Girl having RH-ve factor.
