Dudhsagar Falls is a four-tiered waterfall located on the Mandovi River in Goa. It is 60 km from Panaji by road and is located on the Belgaum–Vasco Da Gama rail route about 46 km east of Madgaon and 80 km south of Belgaum. Dudhsagar Falls is amongst India's tallest waterfalls with a height of 310 m (1017 feet) and an average width of 30 metres (100 feet).

The falls are located in the Bhagwan Mahaveer Sanctuary and Mollem National Park among the Western Ghats. The falls are a punctuation mark in the journey of the Mandovi River from the Western Ghats to Panjim where it meets the Arabian sea. The area is surrounded by deciduous forests with rich biodiversity. The falls are not particularly spectacular during the dry season but during the monsoon season, however, the falls are fed by rains and form a huge force of water.

This iconic falls, Nohkalikai waterfalls, is one of the most beautiful places to visit in Sohra (Cherrapunjee). It is also the highest waterfall in all of India at a height of 1,115 ft or 340 meters.

Hike for a small distance and you arrive at the viewpoint from where you can have a panoramic view of the Nohkalikai waterfalls, cascading down into a pool-like formation.

Monsoon season is the best time to visit Nohkalikai when the falls are in their full form. From the viewing gallery, tourists can not only enjoy a panoramic view of the waterfalls but also the lush surroundings. A fleet of stairs take you to other viewpoints.

As you walk down the stone slabs that lead to the base of the Athirappilly waterfalls, a mysterious serenity overcomes you. It is Kerala's most famous and largest waterfall at over 80 ft high. The sight of the water crashing onto the ground leaves you with a sense of wonder at the sheer power and magnificence of nature. Located around 63 km from Thrissur district, it is a perennial picnic spot for people in the area and beyond. Its surrounding greenery is perfect for walks and picnics with loved ones. Lying at the entrance to the Sholayar forest ranges, it is a part of the Chalakudy River which calls the Western Ghats its home.

Barely 5 km away is another family favourite, Vazhachal Waterfalls. These waterfalls became famous for not just their view but the endemic species found in the surrounding dense forests. Athirappilly is also famous for its fauna and flora as its located inside the forest. Along with the water fall, the sholayar range forest is very famous for "Great Pied Hornbill or Giant Hornbill". Some time you can also spot "Malabar Giant Squirrel". Both these are generally spotted Athirappilly forest range. Ornithologists attach great significance to this location and bird watchers can come across many rare and vibrant species in these parts.

Hebbe Falls is 168 meters in height and ensures mystical experience to everyone who takes effort to reach the falls. Hebbe Falls is situated at about 10 km away from the famous hill station Kemmangundi in Karnataka, India. This waterfalls is inside a coffee estate and can be reached either by walk or four-wheeler. Hebbe Falls gushes down from a height of 551 feet from the river Bhadra in two stages to form Dodda Hebbe (Big Falls) and Chikka Hebbe (Small Falls.) Green forests and rocky surroundings, misty waterfall at Hebbe are every photographer’s delight.

The option of trekking is available (as of Aug 2016), but the place is filled with leeches especially in the rainy season. The best option is to take a government approved forest jeep which goes through private estates. The last kilometer needs to be trekked in order to reach the falls.

Hebbe waterfall is 278 kms from Bengaluru and 65 kms from Chikmagalur. Tarikere is the nearest railway station (35 kms) and Mangaluru is the nearest airport (222 kms). To reach Hebbe Falls one should arrive at Kemmannugundi hill station. Taxi can be hired from Birur or Chikmagalur to reach Kemmannugundi. From Kemmannugundi last 7 kms need to be covered either on foot or by hiring local 4×4 jeeps to reach Hebbe Falls.

Kunchikal Falls is a waterfall in India located in the Nidagodu village near Masthikatte in the Shimoga district of state Karnataka. Kunchikal falls cascades down rocky boulders giving an impressive sight and the total height of the falls is 455 meters (1493 feet) according to the World Waterfall Database. The River Varahi flows down from a greater altitude in a cascading manner over these rocky structures close to the Hulikal Ghati Temple. The Kunchikal waterfalls rank 116th in height in the world and India’s highest waterfall.

After the construction of the Mani Dam near Masthikatte and an underground power generation station near Hulikal, Shimoga district, the water flow to the falls is greatly reduced and is visible only during the rainy season (July-Sept). As the falls are within a restricted area, a gate pass is required to visit. The nearest Airport is at Mangalore, situated 138 km (86 mi) from Kunchikal Falls.
